At Porirua Judo Academy, we believe that grades should be earned, rather than just given. Churning out a club full of kids with high grades in a short time may help stroke egos and give something to brag about, but ultimately, they need to develop an understanding of the art, in all its complexities. A belt won’t give them that.
Kids appreciate being made to work for their grades, through perseverance and hard work. The harder they work, the more it is worth.
The continuity is the power.
